Issa Rae is an acclaimed American actress, writer, and producer who rose to fame with her YouTube series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl. She created, wrote, and starred in the Emmy-nominated HBO series Insecure (2016–2021). Rae is a Stanford graduate who now runs her own production company, Hoorae.
